Sherlock and Molly
She nodded when he replied he only needed one, well for now , she had gotten momentarily distracted by the cat hairs but she snapped out of it when Sherlock asked her about her weekend. She was slightly confused at why he attempting small talk, probably to make her get his things faster, he usually would do that. His tone indicated he didn’t really care about her answer but she replied anyway.
“It was all right, pretty normal” she replied quietly, picking the folder back up and holding it against her chest. “I’ll just got get your hand now” she stated bluntly as she backed out of the room. It didn’t require much thought for her to find her way to where the hand was located, she wrapped it up and put it in the proper container. Quickly marked down the date and who had it on the sheet, and was on her way back. A colleague rushed past her, giving her a strange look for the contents she was carrying, but didn’t give her a second thought.
Molly fumbled opening the door but got it open by using her hip. She hadn’t been gone more than 6 minutes, maybe, she didn’t know for sure. The container was slightly cold, she set it on the counter closest to Sherlock, with a small nod she said “There you go”. She couldn’t help herself and also added “What do you need it for?”
"Nice." He said, with a small slow nod, not entirely sure if he was expected to continue the conversation. Small talk as so incredibly dull. A smile spread on his lips as she said she’d go get it, and he sat down on a chair to wait.
Though it took her mere minutes to get back, Sherlock had already manage to quite entirely distract himself by trying to determine which political events in today’s newspaper were entirely the result of Mycroft’s meddling and which his brother were going to delve into as a result of their exposure. It didn’t strike him that perhaps it would be a kind gesture to help her with the door, since she was after all carrying his stuff. Well, he considered it his stuff, half the time the morgue seemed to him to be nothing more than the place where he got test subjects. He supposed that was better than thinking of it as a place of doom and gloom, which was far less productive.
"Lovely." He reached out to grab it and get going, when Molly asked a question. He considered waving it off, but since he needed to keep her happy and this was one of the more harmless experiments it seemed as good a moment as any to indulge. "I need to see if the injection of a chemical can cause bruising when not injected intravenously. A man is currently accused of battering his wife, who remembers nothing of the event but has puncture marks on her wrist. Attempted murder is far more likely true."
